Dr. Eke is Provost and Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs at Cheyney University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining the University, he served as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Summer Session Chief Operating Officer at Kentucky State University (KSU). He previously served KSU as Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Administrator, and as Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs and Acting Dean of the College of Professional Studies. Prior his service at KSU Dr. Eke served as Interim Assistant Vice President for Academic Programs at California State University Monterey Bay. His administrative career includes service as Professor and Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (1993 - 1998), and Director of International Programs (1991-1993) at Savannah State University.

He received the Ph.D. and M.A. in Political Science from Atlanta University (now Clark Atlanta University) and the B.A. in Political Science, with highest honors, from Alabama A & M University. Dr. Eke has the Institute for Educational Management Certificate (2000) and the Management Development Program Certificate (1994) from Harvard University's Graduate School of Education. He has done other post-doctoral studies at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government , the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the University of Wisconsin.

Further, Dr. Eke has served as an American Council on Education Fellow at the University of Michigan, Dearborn (1994 - 95); a Visiting Scholar at the Center for the Study of Postsecondary and Higher Education an the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (1995); a Pew Faculty Fellow in International Affairs at the Kennedy School of Government of Harvard University (1992 - 1993); and a Research Fellow at the University of Florida's Center for African Studies (1991). His awards includes a Distinguished Service Award by the National Council of Black Political Scientists (NCOBPS) in 1996, and the Ja-Flo Davis Teacher of the Year, Bethune-Cookman College in 1989. He is listed in several Who's Who publications.

Dr. Eke's publications include Nigerian Foreign Policy Under Two Military Governments - 1966-1979: An Analysis of the Gowon and Mohamed/Obasanjo Regimes (The Edwin Mellen Press); Media Coverage of Terrorism: Methods of Diffusion, with A. Odasuo Alali as co-editor, (Sage Publications); and several book chapters and articles. He has made invited and conference presentations at several universities and professional conferences.

Dr. Eke is married to the former Joy Grimes and has two children - Kenoye Jr. and Kebbin.
